On August 7th, 2019, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, the traditional Qixi Festival, the awarding ceremony of the 2019 Guangdong Top 100 Baking Enterprises was grandly held at Guangzhou Mansion. Nearly 200 representatives from government agencies, organizers, co - organizers, shortlisted enterprises, and various media gathered together to witness this historic moment in the Guangdong baking industry.

This selection was jointly organized by the Guangdong Light Industry Federation and the Guangdong Baked Food and Confectionery Products Industry Association, aiming to create benchmark brands and enterprises in the Guangdong baking industry and promote the transformation of Guangdong from a large baking province to a strong one. Since the application was opened to the province's baking industry in December 2018 and closed on March 31st, 2019, the organizing committee received more than 400 application materials.
